The General Medical Council has undertaken a radical programme of change aimed at improving the services that we provide to the public, to members of the medical profession and those who employ doctors. We have delivered the most fundamental reform to medical regulation in 150 years including a major restructure of the organisation and the relocation of 70% of our work from London to Manchester - but we remain committed to a significant change programme and face many demanding and exciting challenges.

As part an integral part of how we build on our success, we are seeking high quality candidates with the right mix of intellectual skills and practical, hands-on management experience. We value the ability to motivate and lead people to meet challenging service level agreements and handle complex policy and implementation issues.
