Registration and Resources Directorate

The overall objective of the Registration team is to ensure the highest standards are maintained in the processing of applications for medical registration.  The Section consists of the following teams:

The applications teams handle applications from UK, EEA and international graduates and the Contact Centre and Reception teams have a key role in providing the appropriate advice and guidance to customers who make direct contact.

The Business Improvement team provides a valuable link between our customers, both internal and external, by reporting on how business systems may be improved; and the Business Planning team is responsible for developing, monitoring and aiding in the delivery of the Registration Team business objectives. The Policy and Projects team provide project and policy support to the Section on registration and licensing projects.

The Resources teams underpin the work of the GMC through the recruitment and development of its people; the provision of systems and facilities to enable their effective contribution; the management of its finances; and ensuring both effective controls and relevant management information are in place and available.
